Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has warned building owners and contractors against modifying, disconnecting, removing, or covering any part of an automatic fire suppression system. (24) of 2012 regulating Civil Defence services, any modification, disconnection, removal, or covering of components of the automatic fire suppression system will result in a fine of Dh10,000. Under the Cabinet Resolution, facility and building owners are obligated to conduct regular maintenance of their fire safety systems through companies accredited by the Authority.

The resolution outlines specific fees for various services related to fire safety compliance and introduces fines for non-compliance. Notably, if a facility lacks proper fire prevention measures and firefighting equipment during an incident, it may be charged up to Dh50,000 to cover firefighting and rescue operations costs.
