Deputy CM cautions Subhadra beneficiaries against fraudsters

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Subhadra Yojana ’s launch on Tuesday, deputy chief minister Pravati Parida on Monday warned beneficiaries against falling into the trap of cybercriminals and cautioned them against sharing their bank account details and clicking on any suspicious link. “We can understand that there is excitement regarding the scheme but the beneficiaries should remain alert and must not fall into the trap of fraudsters. We have received information that one beneficiary has lost Rs 12,000 in a fraud case,” Parida said.

“The first instalment of the scheme will be deposited in the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through direct benefit transfer,” Parida said, adding, She clarified that even those who have not received the Re 1 trial transaction on Sunday will also get the first instalment. State govt on Sunday transferred Re 1 to the accounts of eligible beneficiaries of Subhadra Yojana to test the transaction’s success. It was done to ensure that money is transferred successfully to the accounts of beneficiaries, and is a continuous process, official sources said.



Parida assured the eligible women that they will receive all benefits and that registration process will continue till the last beneficiary is included in the scheme. “I request all beneficiaries not to get misguided or misled by rumours or false information being spread about the scheme. After registering under the scheme by following the guidelines, they can be rest assured that the amount will be deposited in their accounts,” she said.

As of Monday, over 65 lakh beneficiaries have already registered for the scheme.
