DEO (elementary) meets cluster heads at meritorious school

Ludhiana: District education officer (elementary) Ravinder Kaur recently met cluster heads (CHTs) regarding the update in government schools , student attendance and cleanliness in schools. The meeting was held at Meritorious School. The instructions were given to the officials concerned to implement ‘Foundation Literacy and Numeracy’ under the project ‘Nipun’ by NCERT for qualitative education to children from pre-primary to Class II (foundational classes) to monitor the work being done on syllabus and skills from classes III-V daily, and to fill the monitoring proforma coming from the department daily while visiting the classes.

Instructions were also given to the teachers regarding quality education, and cleanliness in the schools. They were also told to complete the UDISE survey and departmental online works on time. As per National Curriculum Framework, work is being done on the competencies of children while implementing the syllabus.



Under this, the DEO held a meeting with every teacher in every school and to implement the projects running under the National Education Policy-2020. For the all-round development of children, she has instructed the cluster officials to encourage students for sports along with education, to pay special attention to the cleanliness of the school campus, especially the bathrooms, and personal cleanliness of children under the ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’. The DEO elementary told the CHTs to motivate teachers to provide better and quality education to children.
