Denny Hamlin wraps up his 19th full-time NASCAR Cup Series season on Sunday in Phoenix. He will drive the No. 11 car with the familiar FedEx paint scheme that has adorned his car for years.
Unfortunately, according to the Joe Gibbs Racing driver, that chapter with the longtime NASCAR sponsor is coming to an end and it will be the last time he'll carry the recognized livery. He revealed as much on X a little more than an over before the green flag dropped on the final race in the desert. "Thank you, @FedEx," Hamlin wrote on the post, which included a video of career highlights and a personal thank you from the driver.
Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images "Thank you FedEx, for being there from the start," the driver began. "At all the wins and all the losses.
Thank you FedEx for letting me be me, for always making a difference, for helping make this kid from Virginia's dreams come true. Thank you FedEx, for everything." While there have been rumors about the loss of FedEx for much of the season, the official news of the package delivery company's departure from the No.
11 car unsurprisingly produced a response from his fans. "The end of an era," replied Dirty Mo Media, the company owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the home of Hamlin's "Actions Detrimental" podcast.

"This is a major major blow." "Sad to see them go," wrote another. "Dang, hate seeing a sponsor leave the sport," another fan offered.
JGR fans are understandably having a bad case of deja vu. It was just a couple of years ago that Kyle Busch lost his M&M sponsorship and left the team a year later. Hamlin will make one last drive in the FedEx No.
11 on Sunday. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 3:30 p.m.
