Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, Miss Denmark, has been named Miss Universe 2024 during a stunning ceremony in Mexico on November 16. She won the crown in the 73rd edition of the pageant, defeating 124 competitors from around the world. Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua is the 2023 Miss Universe, and Theilvig succeeds her.
Following her historic victory as Miss Universe Nigeria earlier this year and despite being turned down by South Africa, Chidinma Adetshina continued her incredible journey by finishing first runner-up. This represents the deepest progression a Nigerian contestant has ever achieved in the pageant’s history. This year’s Miss Universe promoted diversity, with 18 mothers among the contenders, as well as debut performances from Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Moldova, and Somalia.
