Pratapgarh: A Class 9 student of a private school in Pratapgarh was found hanging in her room after she was allegedly denied permission to appear in her exam due to unpaid fees. DSP, Pratapgarh, Durgesh Kumar Singh: "The 17-year-old girl was allegedly humiliated over unpaid fees by the college administration. She returned early from school and committed suicide.
" In her complaint, the girl's mother named the school manager, principal, a teacher, and a staff member for humiliating her over the issue. "The mother said that fees for two months were due, and she somehow managed to deposit Rs 1000 last month but was unable to deposit the remaining amount (Rs 800) as the bank was closed on Saturday. We have started the probe through the CCTV footage and are interrogating the named persons in the complaint," said the official.
