Tenor Demetrious Sampson, Jr. has joined Fletcher Artist Management.Sampson Jr.
is a multifaceted operatic artist from Albany, Georgia, who finished his undergraduate studies at Georgia State University’s School of Music in May of 2023.He later joined the Sarah and Ernest Butler Studio at the Houston Grand Opera and has performed in teh company’s productions of “Parsifal,” “Il Trovatore,” and “La bohème.” This season, he performed at the Atlanta Opera for a production of Verdi’s Macbeth.
During the 2025-2026 season, Sampson Jr. will conclude his time in the Studio by singing the principal roles of Sportin’ Life in “Porgy and Bess,” Lennie in Carlisle Floyd’s “Of Mice and Men,” and The Witch in “Hänsel und Gretel.” He will also make his company debut at the Austin Opera.
