As part of Delta Air Lines' latest international expansion , it plans to return to Grenada (last served in 2020) and—most notably—begin its first-ever flights to St Vincent . Both will be flown from Atlanta, the carrier's busiest hub and the world's busiest airport. Delta will inaugurate service to the two Caribbean destinations in December when it plans to fly to 26 airports across the region.
While subject to change, Delta's latest schedule submission to Cirium Diio shows it plans 62 Caribbean routes in December from eight hubs, focus cities, and others: Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis, New York JFK, New York LaGuardia, and Raleigh/Durham. Daily takeoffs average 59 , with a record high of 99 on December 20 and December 27, the Saturdays before and after the festive day. Delta to St Vincent and Grenada On December 20, for the all-important Christmastime, Delta will inaugurate its first-ever service to St Vincent .
It will be the only time Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have had Atlanta flights. That is not surprising. In 2024, the market only had ~2,000 round-trip point-to-point passengers .
Nonstop flights, hopefully strong promotions, and the vast connectivity over Atlanta will help to fill its aircraft. This will be critical, as Delta will have up to a daily service. Then there's Grenada , a destination to which Delta stopped flying in March 2020.
It is one of nearly 100 destinations Delta has cut from Atlanta in the past two decades . When flights resume on December 20, Grenada will become Delta's second-longest Caribbean market from the Georgia hub after Barbados. As with St Vincent, which has a near-identical schedule, it is timed to maximize two-way connectivity.
