The Delhi Police has introduced a new initiative to help motorists clear their pending traffic challans. Special evening courts will be set up from December 20, 2024, running from 5 pm to 7 pm every working day, offering an easy and convenient way for people to settle their fines. These courts will be held in various district courts across the city.
According to an official statement, the link to download challan details will be available starting December 16, 2024. Motorists are encouraged to make use of this opportunity to clear any outstanding fines. The evening court sessions are designed to address minor offences such as driving without a helmet, not wearing a seatbelt, and similar traffic violations.
These sessions aim to provide a simple, quick way to resolve the fines and reduce the backlog of cases. Also Read: Mumbai Bus Accident: 90 Among 105 Injured Are Stable, Two Critical Informs BMC Senior Delhi Police officer Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), shared that the following courts will be conducting the special sessions: Dwarka Court, Karkardooma Court, Patiala House Court, Rohini Court, Rouse Avenue Court, Saket Court, and Tis Hazari Court. The cases eligible for settlement are those related to challans issued up until December 31, 2021.

They will be able to view and select up to five challans per day for resolution. Importantly, anyone who has received a challan in Delhi—whether or not their vehicle is registered in Delhi—can take advantage of this opportunity to settle the fines.
