Delhi police shall be strengthened, says MoS Home in reply to question in Lok Sabha

Delhi: The Delhi Police shall take several concrete measures to control crime and improve the law and order situation in Delhi, said the MoS in reply to a question in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.According to reports, the Delhi Police shall include increased visibility of police on streets, integrated patrolling by local police, Police Control Room (PCR) staff and by the Traffic police.Further, regular checking of two-wheelers shall be carried out by the local police.

Other than that, joint checking with Traffic and PCR, PRAKHAR (Street Crime Patrol Van) patrolling shall be done in ‘Crime Hot Spot Locations’ of the City,.Strict action shall be taken against organized crime. Additionally citizen-centric policing shall be increased through Jan Sampark and other community approach programmes.
