Delhi elections 2025: 46.55% voter turnout by 3 pm

Earlier in the day, the turnout was recorded at 8.10% by 9 am. Voting began at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm in the national capital, marking the conclusion of a high-stakes election.

Across 70 constituencies, 699 candidates competed for a seat in the Delhi Legislative Assembly . Security is tight, with hundreds of paramilitary personnel deployed across the city, along with drone surveillance at polling stations to ensure smooth voting. The outcome of this election will determine the political future of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress.

AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal , is aiming for a third consecutive term, while BJP seeks to end AAP’s rule. Congress hopes for a comeback after its long absence from power in Delhi. Exit polls, which were banned until 6.
