NEW DELHI: Receiving an encouraging response for the flats offered in latest three housing schemes launched last month, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has taken up the task of developing greens around the housing pockets on priority and giving a fresh finishing touch to unsold inventories or wherever required. In addition to this, the authority claimed to pursue the local bodies to ensure the cleanliness of these areas is not compromised. “DDA’s horticulture department is busy developing greens around the housing pockets to improve the quality of life for the buyers.

Besides, additional final touches are being given to housing blocks to add value. Apart from pursuing the Municipal Corporation of Delhi for taking up the cleaning task in flats or areas under their jurisdiction, we are leaving no stone unturned to ensure green and clean surroundings in areas under our jurisdiction,” said an official. Officials claimed that at least 1,650 flats out of nearly 9,000 flats offered in phase I of Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme and Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024 are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis at Jasola, Narela, Rohini, Loknayakpuram, Ramgarh, and Siraspur in various categories.

Further, out of 169 flats offered through e-auction in Dwarka Housing Scheme in Sector 14, 16B, and 19B of Dwarka under Penthouse, HIG, Super HIG, and MIG categories, over 130 flats have been sold. “Over 1,200 LIG and 440 EWS flats were sold out in Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya Housing schemes, with Rohini leading where all 708 LIG flats were sold while around 250 flats were booked in Narela. Ramgarh also received an impressive response.

Out of 183 LIG flats in the scheme, 153 flats were sold. Among the EWS segment, around 300 flats were sold out in Narela and all 139 flats offered in Loknayakpuram were also booked,” informed officials. “Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena , who is constantly reviewing the status of housing schemes, also lauded our efforts in this direction and prioritising the need for serving the poor and not-so-well-off sections by offering EWS and LIG flats at a modest rate," said an official.

At Narela, the authority is working on the development of educational institutions, a metro rail corridor, and many works to improve and develop road network connectivity, drainage network, electrical connections, water supply, and sewerage network. While the three-day auction for the Dwarka Housing scheme has been closed, the flats under the First Come First Serve scheme in Sasta and Madhyam Varga Category are still in operation. Buyers can book flats by logging in to DDA’s website www.

dda.gov.in or contact on 1800110332.

"All the flats are freehold property and ready to move in. For the convenience of buyers, sample flats are also available so that buyers can make an informed decision," said an official. Prospective buyers can also check out all the details regarding flats through the link which includes location details, flat category details, amenities nearby, photos, videos, and how to reach the location.
