MEDIA — The director of “Delco: The Movie” has been chosen to “flip the switch on 2025” at Media’s annual ball drop on New Year’s Eve. Special guest Chris Pierdomenico will usher in 2025 when he switches the light on the 2025 sign perched atop Spasso Italian Grill, 1 W. State St.
, in the heart of Media’s State Street District, at the stroke of midnight on Tuesday night. The New Year’s Eve excitement kicks off at 10:30 p.m.
when the DJ starts spinning party tunes at State and Jackson streets. Many of the State Street District’s restaurants are hosting special New Year’s Eve events, and are accepting reservations. New Year’s Eve selfie stations will be available for photos along State Street.
A highlight of the evening will feature a live performance by local singer Hannah Birzes before Pierdomenico takes the spotlight. Just before midnight, the countdown begins, and Delco’s own glowing orb descends from more than 100 feet above the buildings, thanks to the crane sponsored by Lift Pro Crane and Pro Tree Services. Festivities will conclude about 12:30 a.

” The film will make its debut at the Media Theatre on Friday, Jan. 17, with more shows Saturday, Jan. 18 and Sunday, Jan.

at Park Avenue Concert Series, a concert of baroque classics. The evening of music will feature returning favorite performers, including Charles Abramovic on harpsichord; Philadelphia Orchestra violinists Marc Rovetti and Dara Morales; and Park Avenue Concerts director and Juilliard faculty cellist Amy Sue Barston. The concert will include gems of baroque chamber music and conclude with an inclusive performance of J.

Train display open during first week of January The Aston Township Railroaders Club of the Aston Township Historical Society, invites train enthusiasts of all ages to view its annual display of model trains of all ages and types at the Aston Community Center, 3270 Concord Road, Aston. The trains will be on display and operating from 5 to 7 p.m.

Aston American Legion to hold winter bingo Aston American Legion Post 926, 3220 Concord Road, Aston Township, will host winter bingo, with cash prizes from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan.

Francy Cross, representing C&H Industrial Services, contributed $5,000, while Warren Sell, president of the Chester Rotary Club, added $1,000 on behalf of the organization.
