DEL Taco diners have fumed "you've ruined 2025!" after the chain added two new menu items - but skipped a fan favorite burrito. The controversial changes come as part of the Mexican fast food chain's latest upheaval to its Del's Real Deal$ menu. The first new addition is a Bean, Rice and Cheese Burrito - which comes with slow-cooked beans, cilantro lime rice, grated cheddar cheese and red sauce, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.
And also joining the updated selection is a Chicken Chipotle Burrito - comprised of grilled chicken, beans, rice, sour cream and a chipotle sauce. Both snacks can be picked up for less than $3 each, the company announced on Facebook . But users were quick to take to the comments - noting that the beloved Spicy Chicken Burrito had not been brought back.

Several urged the fast food chain to bring back the Nacho Cheese Fries, with one saying: "What Gen Z did they hire to make up new menu items??? We demand nacho cheese back." Most read in Money However, others seemed excited that the brand's already popular chipotle sauce was being incorporated into the new menu, with one saying: "That chipotle sauce is GOATED." As well as the two burritos, Del Taco also announced a brand-new flavor of Poppers joining its line-up of popping boba drinks.
The dragon fruit and blueberry beverage can be ordered with Sprite, Minute Maid Lemonade, or a vanilla shake. Announcing the new items, Del Taco President Tom Rose said: "Del Taco has always been committed to delivering bold flavors and exceptional value, and the addition of our two new burritos to our Del’s Real Deal$(TM) menu and Del’s Bundles continue that tradition at an unbeatable price. "Not to mention, our new Dragon Fruit Blueberry Poppers beverages are packed with flavor too.
"Juicy dragon fruit and a burst of blueberry flavor, a combination that will have guests coming back for more." Del Taco's menu refresh comes just a few months after it launched two other new products - a Chipotle Carne Asada Steak Burrito and the Dirty Del, Dr. Pepper topped with vanilla shake mix and a slice of lime.
