Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues to be linked to the Las Vegas Raiders. Fans have noted recently that he's been posting "Thank you GOD" after every Raiders loss and he's been openly flirting with the team. Las Vegas could potentially move on from head coach Antonio Pierce this offseason, which would leave the franchise with an opening.
There has been chatter about Sanders being a packaged deal with his father and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. If the Raiders fired Pierce, that would open up the door for the team to draft Shedeur Sanders and hire Deion Sanders to be the head coach. Grammy-winning rapper and self-proclaimed "president of Raider Nation" Ice Cube recently appeared on the Tubi program " We Got Time Today " with Deion Sanders and the two had a notable interaction.
Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images The topic of Shedeur Sanders came up and Deion Sanders asked Ice Cube if he should let his son go off on his own or if he should follow him to the NFL. "Why not?" Ice Cube said.
"And, if it's in a Raiders uniform ...
come on baby ...
that would be a dream come true as a fan." This led to some excitement from Deion Sanders and the two shared a quick handshake. Deion Sanders likes the idea of potentially becoming the Raiders coach to coach Shedeur 👀 pic.
twitter.com/h19IooxHSs Deion Sanders didn't say anything definitive but his reaction to the idea of joining his son on the Raiders was certainly interesting. This could be a situation to watch once the NFL season is over.
