Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal said on Wednesday he received over 10,000 applications for the post of his chief of staff, which sparked a backlash online on Tuesday for asking prospective candidates to pay Rs 20 lakh for the first year. — deepigoyal (@deepigoyal) Goyal said the role will have no salary for the first year and the Rs 20 lakh fee will be donated to non-profit Feeding India with the company offering to contribute Rs 50 lakh to a charity of the candidate's choice.
