A Death in Paradise viewer has shared expert information after fans noticed a glaring error with the beloved BBC drama.

Since its premiere in 2011, Death in Paradise has swept the nation as viewers tune in to see a murder mystery unfold on the fictional sun-soaked island of Saint-Marie . However, as the recently concluded series 14 introduced Don Gilet as DI Mervin Wilson , fans noticed a repeated error with the BBC favourite. Taking to Reddit , one user called out the show’s continuously cloudless climate and its proximity to reality in the Caribbean.

They penned: “Watching Death in Paradise be like: ‘Oh look, a murder! Also, why is it ALWAYS sunny, even when the entire world is upside down?’ Meanwhile, the UK is in a constant state of drizzle. Can we get one episode where the detective’s umbrella actually gets a workout? Someone tell me how they do it!” Death in Paradise is filmed in Guadeloupe, with the main seaside setting in St. Honoré, a picturesque fishing village of Deshaies in the Northeastern corner of the island.

In response, another fan highlighted a major indicator and shared: “The show is filmed in the summer, so the episodes would be ready for the winter. I have lived in both the Caribbean and UK. There is a big difference between the weather in both locations.

UK would have all the seasons, whereas in the Caribbean would be a hot summer in the summer and a mild summer in the winter.” A third also revealed: “In production - they film in the Caribbean winters, which is why the rich go there in the winter. “The weather is amazing.

Sunny 80, typically no clouds or adverse weather. Sometimes a lot of wind. In Cannon - they always talk about how it's a paradise with sun and sand.

Whereas Britain is always talked about as grey and rainy. They play it up.” Back in 2013, Death in Paradise aired an episode where disaster struck as a hurricane was approaching Saint-Marie.

The series two episode, titled A Stormy Occurance, saw DI Richard Poole (played by Ben Miller) and his team solve the murder of a young meteorologist staged to look like it was caused by a natural disaster..
