Dear Annie: My dad and I have always had a complicated relationship. He’s a good man and a hard worker, but he was never the warm or affectionate type. Growing up, I felt like nothing I did was ever good enough for him.

Now that I’m in my 30s, I’ve accepted that he’s not going to change, but I still struggle with how to interact with him..
