Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated to start the 2024 NFL season after defeating Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime, 30-24, in front of their home crowd. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who was acquired by the Chiefs before Week 8 via trade, had his best game in a Chiefs jersey and his best output on the season. The former Tennesssee Titan recorded eight catches for 86 yards and his first two touchdowns with his new team.

After the game, Hopkins had a message for fans, which the Chiefs posted on social media. "First one down in they home," Hopkins said, "Go time. We ain't done yet.

Up until Monday night, his best game of the year came in Week 3 when Tennessee lost to the Green Bay Packers, where he tallied seven catches for 73 yards and a new touchdown. He had previous stints with the Houston Texans and the Arizona Cardinals prior to joining the Titans. During his stellar career, the former Clemson Tigers star has been named to three first-team All-Pros and five Pro Bowls. The Chiefs now sit at 8-0 on the year and will get a battle with the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Nov.
