KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has taken action against foreign hawkers operating without licences in the city centre.In a special operation on April 11, DBKL's Enforcement Department targeted illegal street trading along Jalan Leboh Pudu and Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin in Petaling.Seven seizures were carried out against foreign nationals under the Hawker Licensing By-laws (WPKL) 2016 for operating without valid licences.
The confiscated items were taken to the Jalan Lombong Seizure Depot in Taman Miharja, Cheras, for documentation and record-keeping.DBKL said enforcement and monitoring at known hotspots will continue from time to time.The public may lodge complaints or provide information via the city council's portal at https://adukl.
