Davina McCall has offered a fresh update after her partner told fans she is "out of the woods" following her brain surgery and planning to return to work in January. The 57-year-old TV presenter underwent an operation to remove a colloid cyst after it was picked up on a scan and is recovering at home after the operation and her boyfriend, hairdresser Michael Douglas, has revealed Davina is resting up and hopes to be back at work after Christmas . In an Instagram Live video, Michael explained: "She's quite tired at the moment.
She sleeps really well at night and goes to bed at 10pm and has a nap in the morning, and sleeps for two or three hours in the afternoon. It's the way your brain heels is by resting. Her body is naturally forcing her to rest.

We're definitely out of the woods." Davina has since update fans herself. She took to social media to share: "I'm feeling much better now that I'm home.
I'm being brilliantly looked after by Michael and Gabby, my mum. Just to say that I'm not just trying to sleep a lot and get better. My short term memory is really improving a lot everyday and it has been an example to me on how much sleep helps me recover from everything.
"If I feel a bit confused or am struggling to concentrate I just go to sleep and wake up renewed and refreshed so i know my brain needs lots of sleep. Thank you so much for your ongoing support." The Masked Singer star also captioned the post: "Every day I feel stronger and stronger.
I just wanted to say thanks for all of you support, it meant the world to me and my family. And also to @mdlondon, hes been a complete legend. If he's not with me, he's at work, for his busiest time of year bless him.
I'm sleeping loads. Recovery thru sleep. I still feel so lucky.
Grateful. Blessed.".
