JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) Jefferson City Engineer David Bange will serve as the interim public works director beginning on Dec. 6, a Thursday press release from the city says.
Bange will be filling the position after the retirement of Matt Morasch, who announced his retirement in September. The release says that Bange began working for the city in 2003 and has been the city engineer since 2013. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri in 2002.
“The search for the next Public Works Director is ongoing, with a focus on finding a leader who will build on the foundation established by Morasch, whose work has greatly contributed to the growth of the community,” the release says..
