He was the husband of Roseann (McGlade) Sorber-Trumbauer. Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Grace A.
(Meitzler) Trumbauer. David honorably served his country in the Air Force during Vietnam. He began his working career at Tyler Pipe, followed by working as a mechanic for Schaffer’s Lawn and Garden Equipment for many years, and retired from Lochner’s Lawn Equipment in 2008.
He was a former volunteer fireman for Macungie Fire Department and a member of Hereford Gun Club. David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Roseann; daughters, Deann wife of Jeff Reidenhour and Melissa Long and James Kellar; stepson, Thomas G. Sorber and wife Kimberly; stepdaughters, Janeann C.
Beers wife of the late Scott Beers and Marybeth wife of Mark Theoret, Jr.; grandchildren, Drew, Lynn, Brooke, Trent, Megan, Danika, and Kali Rose; great grandchildren, Raiden and Koda; brother, Robert C. Trumbauer.
He was predeceased by siblings, Allen H. Trumbauer, Richard Trumbauer, Nancy A. Bowman, and Mary L.
George. A memorial service will be held on Tues., April 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.
C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.
Visitation Mon. 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Tues. 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave.
