Datastreams, a leader in data-driven digital transformation, announced on the 24th that it signed a strategic partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vietnam's state-run postal company VNPOST on the 20th, focusing on comprehensive data collaboration. The event was attended by Datastreams CEO Lee Young-sang, Kim Young-kyun, head of the Vietnam branch, and VNPOST personnel including Chairman Nguyen Truong Giang, board member Phan Thao Nguyen, Vice President Pham Anh Tuan, Director of IT Planning Vu Thanh Xuan, Innovation Center Head Phan Tri Tue, and Dao Ngoc Dung, along with over 30 project stakeholders. Under this agreement, the two companies plan to establish a data exchange to drive innovative growth in data-based business models and develop platforms that leverage data for VNPOST’s existing postal and logistics services.
The partnership aims to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen the development of data-driven services. VNPOST and Datastreams clearly defined their roles within this agreement to enhance mutual capabilities. VNPOST is responsible for internal project development, researching practical applications of data fabric technology, analyzing data exchange requirements, and the business environment.
Datastreams will support the introduction and application of data fabric technology, share expertise and experience, and provide a project roadmap to assist VNPOST's digital transformation. Additionally, they will support the successful operation of the data exchange through global collaboration. Through this partnership, both companies aim to secure innovations in data-driven business models and future growth opportunities.
Through this collaboration, Datastreams will participate in VNPOST’s big data platform and data exchange construction project planned by 2026, expanding its technological case studies. This is expected to further enhance the competitiveness of data fabric technology and AI-based solutions in the global market. It presents an excellent opportunity to lead the Vietnamese market following Malaysia in terms of data fabric technology, spearheading digital transformation through data-driven businesses and securing case studies.
VNPOST’s Vice President Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that implementing groundbreaking technological solutions is a key task for VNPOST by 2025. In addition to building the data platform, the cooperation between VNPOST and Datastreams marks the first phase of establishing the data exchange platform. He further stated that VNPOST aims to become a leading company equipped with resources, technology, and platforms compliant with Vietnam's legal framework to expand data business and pledged to invest maximum resources for successful implementation.
