Poacher picked up a 9-0 success at Dun Cow to move onto 65 points, one point ahead of Granby B who beat Glebe A 8-1. Old Oak are third after a 7-2 victory at St Nics Tavern while there was another 8-1 result as fourth-placed Old Red Lion beat Almond Tree Z. Glebe B got an eight win of the season by beating Shephall Centre 6-3 and Simply St Nics won the derby against St Nics MisFitz 7-2.
The remaining fixture saw Pied Piper stay sixth by beating Almond Tree A 8-1. There was a glut of 180s this week. Kyle Morgan (St Nics Tavern), Paul Hale (Granby B), Steve Teale (Pied Piper) and Bryan Dunne (Poacher) all managed one, as did Shephall Centre pair Harrison Govey and Ben Amies.
St Nics MisFitz's Carol Young hit a finish of 88 while Paul Mayling of Simply St Nics finished on 117. The best leg belonged to Tony Hutt of Granby B with just 14 darts. In the Stevenage Friday League, Postels Lads & Lasses came close to a second win of the season, before falling 5-4 to Royal Oak, 12-8 in legs.
It was close too in two other matches. Old Red Lion beat Almond Tree 5-4, just 12-10 in legs, while the leg score was 11-8 in Granby B's 5-4 win over SBC. Leaders Granby A though had a comfortable 9-0 success at Chells Club, dropping just one leg.
