More info Danielle Armstrong ’s husband Tom Edney has joked that she’s “lucky to be alive” after the pair showed the reality of putting their Christmas decorations up as a couple.
The loved-up pair, who are doting parents to daughters Orla, three, and 16 month old Una , have got into the festive spirit early by putting up one of their Christmas trees - over one month before the big day. However, The Only Way Is Essex star Danielle, 36, has revealed that transforming the tree into a ‘candy unicorn’ theme for their daughter Orla wasn’t the easiest. In fact, getting the tree up and ready caused some arguments for the childhood sweethearts.
In a video uploaded to Instagram, the TV personality and her beau could be seen tackling the dreaded job of putting fairy lights on the Christmas tree. In a bid to make the task easier, the pair split the job into two, with one adding the lights to the tree and the other ‘feeding’ the wire, though arguments ensued when the lights became tangled. Despite the hiccups along the way, Danielle and Tom succeeded in turning their tree into a candy unicorn dream for their daughter.
Once up and covered in lights, the duo covered it with an assortment of pink stars, sparkly baubles and glass ornaments. “The Reality Of Putting Up A Tree In Our House,” the caption read. “I was initially filming this process to add some festive music over the tip to create a loving family reel.
.. but I’m pretty sure you guys would much prefer the uncut real version of the reality.
” It continued: “Please tell me most couples have arguments when it involves Christmas decorations...
anyway 5 hours later and a few arguments Orla's Candy Unicorn Christmas Tree was done.” In response to the behind the scenes clip, Tom cheekily commented: “Your lucky to be alive”. Meanwhile, Danielle was quick to reply and added: “”good girl” comments mate your lucky I didn’t throw the tree at you.
” Following the post, fans flocked to the comments section to reassure the TOWIE star that she wasn’t alone in Christmas decorations leading to bickering. “And this is why I do it all on my own when everyone is out of the house ..
...
.. It has actually saved my marriage,” commented one.
“”I could knock you out tbh” if that is not every married couple doing the Xmas decs then I don’t know what is,” another added. “Keeping it real - isn’t this standard for any couple related activity,” a third wrote..
