twitter.com/9L1RxOyKWv — Inquirer (@inquirerdotnet) April 9, 2025 Both Padilla and Gutierrez have not addressed the incident, which seemed to have further fueled speculations. The issue stemmed from a social media post that claimed that Padilla nearly came into blows with fellow Kapamilya actor Kyle Echarri for the latter’s alleged closeness with the former’s ex-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo during the ball.

Gutierrez, who was with Padilla at the time, and Echarri’s friend JK Labajo allegedly also got dragged into the fray by virtue of association, but fortunately, cooler heads intervened. Padilla and Bernardo first graced the ball as a pair in 2012, although they have been part of the gala since 2009 and 2010, respectively. The ex-couple were also each other’s date at the ABS-CBN ball in October 2023, although there were already rumors that they have already split, which they both admitted to in the December, or just two months later. At the same ball the following year, they went separately.

Meanwhile, there seemed to be no sign of a falling out between Bernardo and Padilla’s mother, Karla Estrada whom she even snapped a photo with during the gala..
