Image: Instagram/@danibarretto Dani Barretto reminded her stepsister Claudia Barretto and brother-in-law Basti Lorenzo to “not let anyone dim the light of your moment” after Claudia’s dad, Dennis Padilla, aired his dismay for being treated as a “visitor” and not as the father of the bride during their recent wedding. Dani penned a thoughtful letter to Claudia and her husband congratulating them on their relationship milestone.
“Dear Claudia and Basti, Congratulations on this incredible milestone, 10 years in the making. Your love, patience, and commitment have brought you to this moment, and it’s truly something to be celebrated,” she wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, April 9. Dani then reminded the newlyweds to savor every moment, emphasizing that their love deserves to be celebrated.

I love you more than words can ever express [Claudia],” Dani concluded. Claudia’s intimate wedding got marred by controversy after his father made headlines for posting a statement, “Grabe kayo! Nabudol niyo [ako]! Father of the bride naging visitor! Galing niyo!” adding the remark, “Sagad sa buto.” In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Padilla lamented that he was not part of the entourage and wasn’t able to escort or walk his daughter down the aisle.
