Dancing on Ice has been axed after 17 seasons, ITV has been revealed. The decision comes after ratings numbers "dwindled" in 2025, according to The Sun. The ITV reality series started back on January 14, 2006 and initially ended on March 9, 2014.
However, on September 4, 2017 it was announced that a revived series would air on ITV from January 7, 2018 with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby returning as hosts. An ITV Spokesperson, speaking to The Sun , said: "Following another successful series earlier this year, Dancing On Ice will be rested in 2026 with no current plans for another series. Dancing On Ice will reportedly be AXED at the end of this series. The news has come as a huge shock, as everyone swore it got binned five years ago.
