Dana White told to cut divisive female star after ‘worst performance ever’ at UFC Vegas 105

UFC’s Vanessa Demopoulos didn’t do herself any favors with her most recent performance.The UFC Strawweight hasn’t had the best of luck as of late, falling to 2-3 in her last five fights with back-to-back defeats at UFC Vegas 105 on Saturday.From the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Demopoulos would face off against Brazilian ‘Problem Child’ Talita Alencar.

Demopoulos and Alencar kicked off a Fight Night card headlined by Josh Emmett vs. Lerone Murphy.The strawweight matchup was simply a stylistic nightmare for Demopoulos, a stripper-turned-fighter who’s been on the UFC roster since 2021.

The Brazilian outclassed Demopoulos on the ground, able to take her down with relative ease.Demopoulos only defended one takedown out of five attempts, controlled for over 12 minutes in a 15-minute fight.

In total strikes, Alencar outlanded Demopoulos 107 to 34. It’s safe to say it was a total shutout for Alencar, who got her hand raised by unanimous decision.Losing all three rounds on the scorecards, this is arguably Demopoulos’ worst UFC performance to date.

The defeat to Talita Alencar brought Vanessa Demopoulos’ UFC record to 5-4. We’ll see if the 36-year-old gets the opportunity to bounce back in the Octagon..
