There are plenty of intriguing college football matchups on the slate for Week 11, with several opportunities for fans to witness an upset. No. 16 Kansas State against Arizona State, No.

22 LSU against Florida, and No. 20 Clemson against Pittsburgh are just a few of the potential ranked teams who could have trouble getting past their unranked opponents this weekend, but former Florida head coach and current ESPN analyst Dan Mullen believes there’s a team ranked in the top five with national title aspirations that needs to be careful on Saturday. During an appearance on “SportsCenter” on Thursday, Mullen made the case that the No.

3-ranked Texas Longhorns should be wary of unranked Arkansas Razorbacks for multiple reasons. “Arkansas already pulled a huge upset over Tennessee earlier in the year,” Mullen said. “They’ve played really good football.

They have a strong defense. When you have an athlete like Taylen Green at quarterback, he can come in and change a game – and especially at home in an old Southwest Conference rivalry. “Arkansas would love nothing more than to ruin Texas’ season.

I think they have to be very careful. Now, the loss to Georgia [has] woken them up. I’d be a little more nervous if they were undefeated coming into the game.

But they know their backs are against the wall a little bit in this game if they want to compete for the SEC Championship.” Kim Klement-Imagn Images To Mullen’s point, Arkansas already upset Tennessee just four weeks ago when the Vols were the No. 4-ranked team in the country.

Though Arkansas’ 5-4 record doesn’t look great on paper, all four of those losses came against ranked teams and three of them were against high-quality opponents (No. 15 Texas A&M, No. 22 LSU and No.

11 Ole Miss). Of the nine games the Razorbacks has played, they’ve really only been out of two of them — a 34-10 loss to LSU and a 63-31 loss to Ole Miss. After suffering its first loss against Georgia three weeks ago, Texas had a close call against Vanderbilt the following week before cruising to an easy win over Florida last week.

With just two games left before a showdown against Texas A&M on Nov. 30 with huge College Football Playoff implications, it wouldn’t be surprising if Texas was caught sleepwalking against either Arkansas or Kentucky next week..
