Damoria bridge to be closed from Nov 20

Ludhiana: Damoria bridge will be closed for three months from Nov 20 for expansion of the railway line. The bridge is being closed to traffic on both sides to facilitate laying of an additional New Delhi-Amritsar railway line . Since the bridge connects the old city with Civil Lines and Kailash Chowk, closing of the railway underbridge would hassle commuters.

ADCP- traffic Gurpreet Kaur Purewal said, “Traffic police are preparing a diversion plan to ensure smooth traffic flow after closure of the Damoria bridge.
