NORFOLK, Neb. - Funeral service for Dale J. Groninger, 63, of North Platte formerly of Norfolk, will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 10:30 a.
m., at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. Officiating the service will be Pastor Terry Buol.
Interment will be held at Best Cemetery, rural Norfolk. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Dale was born on March 27, 1962, in Norfolk, Neb., to Fred Jr. and Joan (Hynek) Groninger.
Dale was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Battle Creek and Confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wisner.
He attended and graduated from Wisner Pilger High School in 1980. After high school Dale moved out west to work as a ranch hand. He worked for the O'Keif Ranch in Valentine for 15 years.
Dale enjoyed taking his dog for a walk, making ropes, working on his pickup, and breaking horses in his younger years. Dale is survived by his son, John (Jolene) Schmitz of Columbus; three grandchildren: Jasper Schmitz, Lauren (Tony) Keyes, Garrett Schmitz; one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Keyes; parents, Fred Jr. and Joan Groninger of Wisner; siblings: Lynn (Ron) Kramer of North Platte, Jerry Groninger of Clearwater, Freddie Groninger of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents: Fred Sr. and Ruth Groninger, George and Edna Hynek. Casket bearers will be Jasper Schmitz, Robert Prauner, Jeff Hitz, Brian Hitz, Darin Ehlers, and Justin Groninger.
Honorary casket bearers will be Richard Gummus, Randal Gummus, Scott Reynolds, Garrett Schmitz, and James Groninger. Condolences can be expressed to the family online at www.stonacekfuneralchapel.
