Müller headed for Skyline Chili? (Daily Mail) Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller might be looking to extend his career and, if so, FC Cincinnati could be the frontrunner to land him: MLS side Cincinnati FC have emerged as leading contenders to sign Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller this summer. Mail Sport understands the Eastern Conference outfit have the discovery rights for Muller who came off the bench to score for Bayern in their Champions League quarter final first leg defeat to Inter Milan on Tuesday evening. LAFC, partner club to Bayern, San Diego and FC Dallas have also been credited with interest as Muller prepares to make a decision over his next career move in the coming weeks.

Muller is understood to be looking for a multi-year contract worth around 5-6m dollars a year. However, Cincinnati, coached by Pat Noonan, are understood to have first call should the US be his chosen destination. The longstanding theory/prediction/prophecy that we have long held here that would see Thomas Müller end up in Ohio could actually happen.

Imagine that! Anyway, this author does not want to see Müller in MLS, but it appears that the 35-year-old is at least considering it. Related Blockbuster exit? .why is there such a divide and difference these days?; Florian Wirtz to Bayern?; Thomas Müller to FC Cincinnati?; and MORE! Bayern, City, LFC eyeing Inter’s Barella? (Sempre Inter) Bayern Munich, Liverpool FC , and Manchester City are reportedly among the teams keeping a close eye on Inter Milan midfielder Nico Barella: Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella is worth no less than €100 million, as Liverpool line up a summer move. This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

They highlight the Italian international’s stellar display against Bayern Munich. Midfielder Nicolo Barella certainly showcased his talents at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening. The 28-year-old was the outstanding player in the midfield battle as Inter got a massive result in the form of a 2-1 win in the Champions League quarterfinal first leg.

Inter Milan would not even pick up the phone for bids under €100 million. So far, Inter and Barella have resisted all the transfer interest – of which there has been no shortage. Most recently, Al-Hilal tried to bring Barella to Saudi Arabia.

They tempted Barella with a contract worth an eye-watering €35 million net per season. However, Barella turned this down flatly. Meanwhile, Manchester City are also long-term admirers of Barella.

However, so far he has always rejected the advances of Pep Guardiola. Then, Bayern Munich are also among Barella’s suitors. And therefore, it was perhaps fitting that the 28-year-old would put in such a fine display on the Bavarians’ home turf.

For this summer, the Gazzetta anticipate, Liverpool appear to be the club with the strongest interest in making a big move for Barella. But there is little sign that the Italian international would have his head turned. And it certainly wouldn’t be for cheap.

It would seem very doubtful that Bayern Munich would be poised and ready to make a play for any player whose price tag is nine figures — except Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz. For Manchester City or Liverpool, this could be legit, but for Bayern Munich? Eh..
