Kane blows off EPL rumors (@Plettigoal) Rumors have been swirling for weeks that Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane might be thinking about a return to England this summer. Per Kane, he is “happy to be at Bayern”, but also leans on the old adage of not thinking too far ahead: Harry #Kane confirms our news that he is not thinking about a transfer at all. Kane feels very comfortable at FC Bayern.
Rumours linking him with Liverpool and Manchester United are wide of the mark. #LFC #MUFC The possibility of returning to Spurs at some point was already agreed upon when he joined Bayern – but that is not a topic at the moment either. Kane told @ESPNFC: “A few random stories out there for sure.
I don’t know where they come from. But I’m happy here at Bayern.” Kane had a lot more to say to ESPN FC’s Archie Rhind-Tutt (via @iMiaSanMia ) on the topic as well.
“I’m not sure (about returning to England). I’ve said throughout my whole career, I’m not someone who likes to think too far ahead. I’m extremely happy here.
I think we have a fantastic team, fantastic coaching staff and I just feel like whilst I feel like I’m in the best condition, I wanna play at the highest level possible, and this is as high as it gets,” said Kane. “So, I know a lot can change in football in a short space of time and things can happen, but ultimately my focus is here. I’m not thinking about any other league or any other team.
And with football, I like to just go with the flow and at the moment the flow is here at Bayern Munich.” As of now, it does feel like Kane will stick around for one more season and then think about an exit in 2026. However, Kane did not exactly definitively squash the rumors with his statements, which — surely — some fans would have liked.
Like any other situation, it will take a few turns, but 2026 still seems like a more feasible scenario for the player and club alike. (Sport1’s Stefan Kumberger via @iMiaSanMia) Bayern Munich could be kicking around the idea of “restructuring” the front office in an effort to put more focus on the campus operations: Bayern’s supervisory board has been considering expanding or restructuring the management team for some time.
They want closer integration between the first team and the FC Bayern Campus. There’s a big desire for top talents to make it into the first team on a larger scale. Mario Gomez is particularly appreciated by Uli Hoeneß.
The supervisory board has closely followed Gomez’s career in management. However, there has not yet been any direct, concrete contact. So far, it remains merely an idea.
The rumours about Gomez also shed light on Max Eberl and his work. Eberl under scrutiny by the supervisory board. Given his numerous difficult tasks, it’s almost in the nature of things that some decisions are viewed with some skepticism.
Uli Hoeneß wants a lively exchange with the management. Former CEO Oliver Kahn had already been criticized for rarely seeking advice. Eberl maintained a closer relationship with Hoeneß, but he, too, tried to do things by himself at times.
Bringing Gomez in would either require the creation of a new position, a fundamental structural change, or even a replacement. The contracts of Eberl and sporting director Christoph Freund both run until summer 2027.
