The Philippines-based Brazilian actress—who is now cancer-free—opened up about her miscarriage during an interview with showbiz reporter Morly Alinio, as seen on the latter’s YouTube vlog on Sunday, Nov.

17. The subject was brought up after Alinio asked Menezes if she had ever dreamed of having a baby. “Yes, I did,” Menezes responded.

“I actually [had] a miscarriage.” Menezes then recalled getting pregnant with her first child while in a relationship with a Chinese man whom she did not name. However, she said the two of them broke up while she was carrying their child, and that the guy even got her friend pregnant after their split.

“Unfortunately, I lost my baby when I was already four months into the pregnancy. The baby was already formed but I lost it,” she stated. “Some people say it’s because of the treatment I was doing for cancer; simultaneously kasi.

But honestly, I feel like it’s from the medicine.” “My baby had no limbs. My baby was [really] incomplete, like [it didn’t develop],” she recounted.

“The organs of the baby were nakadikit. That’s how it was explained to me.” Menezes further shared that she underwent a D&C operation to remove the child from her womb.

She then credited her mom for being her support system during those difficult times. “ That was the most painful of all. It was more painful than cancer ,” she said of losing her child.

“Physically it was also painful compared to when I had an operation for breast cancer. Physically, mentally, everything was painful.” Speaking her thoughts on having a baby again, Menezes said she no longer wished to have one, but if God would bless her with another child, she would welcome it.

“If the Lord blesses me with it, then I’d accept it. But if He does not, then it is still okay with me.) Menezes was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, although she did not disclose it to the public until the following year.
