(Image courtesy of Yonhap) SEOUL, Nov. 27 (Korea Bizwire) — Daewoo Engineering & Construction (E&C) Co. said Wednesday it has broken ground for a high-rise building project in Hanoi, part of a major urban development initiative in the Vietnamese capital.
Daewoo E&C said it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project, named K8HH1, part of Hanoi’s Starlake new town development initiative, on Monday. The project involves the construction of two 26-story apartment buildings with two underground levels, and one 20-story office building with two underground levels. The total floor area of the K8HH1 project spans 113,302 square meters and the project will cost approximately US$270 million.
Completion is expected to take 32 months. Additionally, Daewoo E&C said it plans to supply 656 and 846 housing units in two separate apartment sites near K8HH1. Daewoo E&C joined in the Starlake new town development project in 2020 with the ambition of developing a modern and luxurious town modeled after Seoul’s Gangnam area in Hanoi on a total 1.
