Cyclone Fengal: Waterlogging in Chromepet GH, patients moved to top floor

The Chromepet Government Hospital faces the challenge of rainwater stagnation every year and arrangements are made to shift the patients.

CHENNAI: In light of the ongoing heavy rainfall caused by Cyclone Fengal , the Government Hospital in Chromepet has been waterlogged and patients are being moved to the top floor. The hospital authorities stated that anticipating more rain, the essential services had been shifted to the first floor. Health Secretary Supriya Sahu visited the hospital and interacted with the patients, doctors, and nurses.

She said that the doctors and the other healthcare workers are ensuring patient safety during these challenging times.
