CWA serves up hot brekky and treats for Pink Ribbon fundraiser

"It was a great day. I think it was one of our best ever," Goulburn Mulwaree CWA secretary, Denise Crouch said. "I think there will be some good money for the Breast Cancer Foundation this year.



" People could choose a bacon and egg breakfast for $10 or a full 'brekky' for $15. Afterwards, they could help themselves to scones, cakes, slices and other treats for morning tea and browse among the craft trade table. Some even ordered take-away.

Goulburn woman, Nichole Annison, started the Pink Ribbon breakfast when she ran her quilting shop in the city. But after it closed and she joined CWA, the Goulburn Mulwaree group hosted it from about 2017, given the space at the Montague Street rooms. This year, CanAssist Goulburn came on board and helped out with cooking and service.

"Many of us have family members touched by cancer and there are some (in CWA) suffering it as well," Mrs Crouch said. "Most people are very willing to contribute. Hopefully this will help find a cure.
