CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Cuyahoga County sheriff’s deputy shot a suspect Thursday night in Cleveland as crowds left the Guardians playoff game, authorities said. A county spokeswoman, in a brief statement, said the incident took place about 10 p.m.
at Superior Avenue and East 26th Street. A victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, though the extent of the person’s injuries is unclear. The deputy involved in the incident was evaluated at Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital and released.

The station reported that officers chased a white-colored SUV before the SUV crashed near the entrance and exit ramps to Interstate 90. People from the car ran from police, and witnesses heard gunshots, the news station reported.
The station indicated that a 15-year-old boy was taken to MetroHealth. The incident took place as fans left Progressive Field following the Guardians’ 7-5 win over the New York Yankees in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series..
