The Curtis Opera Theatre has announced its 2025-26 season.The school will collaborate with renowned conductors, directors, and designers to present fresh and passionate performances from across the operatic repertoire.The first production of the season will be Monteverdi’s “L’Orfeo” with David Stern, music director of Palm Beach Opera, conducting a cast of rising young opera stars and talented musicians of the Curtis Symphony Orchestra.
John Matsumoto Giampietro directs.Performance Dates: Nov. 14 & 16, 2025The season continues with “La Passion de Simone,” from Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho and Lebanese-born librettist Amin Maalou.
Acclaimed director Marcus Shields and conductor Marc Lowenstein lead the work.Performance Dates: Feb. 26 & 28, 2026The season concludes with Britten’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” with critically acclaimed director Sarah Ina Meyers directing and Vinay Parameswaran leading the cast and orchestra.
