OPM pride is on full display as Filipino band Cup of Joe finally makes waves on the international charts.Making OPM history, Cup of Joe's chart-topping track "Multo" has landed at no.181 on the Billboard Global 200.
The Filipino band's hit song ranks ahead of international releases like “Handlebars” by Jennie and Dua Lipa (no. 186) and Rosé's “Toxic Til The End” (no. 194), showing just how far OPM can go.
Composed of vocalists Gian Bernardino and Rapha Ridao, lead guitarist Gab Fernandez, rhythm guitarist CJ Fernandez, and keyboardist Xen Gareza, the OPM band got netizens, especially TikTok users, singing along and using "Multo" in their random and relapse videos.According to Rapha, he wrote “Multo” with his brother Immanuel Ridao in 2020.Rapha explained on his Instagram, “Nilabas namin doon lahat ng mga feelings namin na longing [at] lahat ng lungkot na hindi namin inakalang kaya namin harapin.
