Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) put an end to their five-match losing streak as they secured a 5-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). MS Dhoni, who is leading the team following regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad being ruled out of the tournament, made some changes in the playing XI.CSK dropped their star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin as he has massively underperforming since he joined the side once again.

Now, MS Dhoni has dropped a massive hint that Ashwin might even not feature at all for the team in the rest of the tournament.In the post-match interview, MS Dhoni stated that CSK as a team has put significant pressure on R Ashwin, as he has bowled two overs in the first six overs. Dhoni even stated that some changes in roles and responsibilities have been made.



“We were putting too much pressure on Ash. He was bowling two overs in the first six. We made changes, and this looks like a better attack.

As a bowling unit, we’ve done well. As a batting unit, we can do better. Roles and responsibilities – that’s what we talk about,” said Dhoni.

Speaking about the match, Lucknow Super Giants were asked to bat first and scored 166 for seven. Skipper Rishabh Pant top-scored for LSG with 63 off 49 balls, while opener Mitchell Marsh made 30 in 25 deliveries.In reply, CSK chased down the target of 167 with three balls to spare with the legendary MS Dhoni contributing a vital 26 off 11 balls after opener Rachin Ravindra made 37 in 22 balls.

This was CSK’s first win in their last six matches.Shivam Dube struck an unbeaten 43 in 37 deliveries, while young debutant Shaik Rasheed impressed with a 19-ball 27.Earlier, LSG lost two wickets in the powerplay thanks to some fine bowling by seamers Khaleel Ahmed and Anshul Kamboj, who picked up a wicket each in the first six overs.
