CRPF's presence ensures victory, Naxalism to be eradicated by 2026: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing the CRPF's 86th Raising Day in Neemuch, lauded the force's role in maintaining national unity and predicted the complete eradication of Naxalism by March 2026. He credited the CRPF's presence with instilling confidence during unrest and paid tribute to fallen soldiers.

INDORE: Union Home Minister Amit Shah , speaking at the 86th Raising Day celebrations of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Neemuch on Thursday, asserted that the presence of CRPF personnel instils confidence in victory during times of unrest. He also declared that Naxalism will be completely eradicated from the country by March 31, 2026, crediting the CRPF's significant role in achieving this goal. Shah paid homage to the martyred soldiers at the Shaheed Sthal (martyr's memorial).

He then inspected the parade from an open jeep. Eight CRPF contingents participated in the parade, and the Home Minister received the ceremonial salute. Shah also presented gallantry medals to selected CRPF personnel for their acts of bravery.



Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav was also present at the event. The Home Minister stated that since its inception, 2264 CRPF personnel sacrificed their lives for the nation's security across various fronts. "To the families of all those martyrs, I want to say that India is moving towards becoming the supreme power by 2047, and there is a big contribution of your families' sacrifice in it," he said.

He emphasised the CRPF's unwavering commitment to maintaining the country's unity and integrity. "Whenever there is unrest anywhere in the country, as Home Minister, when I learn that CRPF personnel are present, I can work with complete assurance. I have faith that if the CRPF is there, victory is certain," he asserted.
