Prayagraj: Launching a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party , Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said criminals, mafias are the necklaces (gale ka haar) of the party that has a single ideology of "sabka sath and Saifai Pariwar ka vikas." Yogi was addressing a public meeting in Kaserua Khurd, Sahson in support of BJP candidate for the Phulpur assembly bypoll Deepak Patel. "Samajwadi Party is pained when the govt tightens the noose around goons, mafias and rioters.

But the state govt will not allow anti-social elements like mining and copying mafias to thrive," he said. The CM also spoke about the recent controversy regarding the PCS-pre exams schedule and format and said no one will be allowed to play with the future of the youth. "The govt and the UPPSC are committed to ensure transparency in competitive examinations and action against copying mafias," Yogi said.

Further targeting the SP, CM said the party opposes Ram Mandir, transparency in examinations, Deepotsav, Dev Deepawali, development and welfare schemes for the poor and only engages in the politics of division. "We faced humiliation in Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura because we were divided, but now we must stay united," he said. He highlighted the achievements of the BJP govt and said there was no discrimination against anyone.

"Under the double engine govt, 2.5 crore toilets were built, benefits of Ujjwala scheme was extended to 2 crore poor, electricity bill of tube wells of 14 lakh farmers were waived of, ration was given to 15 crore poor in the state and 80 crore poor in the country along with benefits of many welfare schemes like Kanya Sumangala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana are being given without any discrimination," he said. The CM added that while the BJP govt works on the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' the Samajwadi Party believes in the politics of appeasement.

"During the SP govt, there was a new scam every day," he said and added that for the BJP, elections are a mission of service, whereas for SP and BSP, they are a certificate of business and anarchy. Recalling the killings of lawyer Umesh Pal, BSP MLA Raju Pal and BJP MLA Krishnand Rai, the CM said "Everyone knows what happened to them. The mafia associated with the SP used to kidnap businessmen, occupy religious places and create disturbances during festivals as UP was earlier synonymous with curfews and riots.

" Now, it is defined by peace and progress—'No curfew, No Danga, UP Me Sab Changa,' he said. Jaya Pal (wife of slain lawyer Umesh Pal) and SP MLA Puja Pal (wife of slain BSP MLA Raju Pal) were also present on the stage..
