Cricket West Indies suspended pacer Alzarri Joseph following an on-field incident during the third United ODI against England. As part of CWI’s ongoing commitment to upholding the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in the game, the incident, which involved conduct falling short of CWI’s standards of professionalism, was reviewed in consultation with the Senior Men's coaching staff. Alzarri Joseph was seen to be involved in a heated conversation with West Indies captain Shai Hope, in the third ODI against England at at the Kensington Oval, Barbados.
Alzarri Joseph was somehow not happy with the field placement he indicated in his 3rd over to Shai Hope after which they both had an argument in the 3rd over. After the over Alzarri left the field in disappointment, came back after 1 over, and refused to bowl till the 12th over. Miles Bascombe, CWI Director of Cricket, addressed the decision, saying that Alzarri's behaviour did not align with the core values that Cricket West Indies upholds.

I have personally apologized to Captain Shai Hope, my teammates, and my management. I also extend my sincerest apologies to the West Indies fans. I understand that even a brief lapse in judgment can have a far-reaching impact, and I deeply regret any disappointment caused," he said.
West Indies head coach Daren Sammy expressed his concerns about the fast bowler’s actions. Speaking to TalkSPORT after the game, Sammy stated, “Behaviour like that is unacceptable on my cricket field. We will be friends.
