Throughout the month of October, the Berkeley County Government and sheriff’s office will host a series of community update meetings. At each meeting, Berkeley County Supervisor Johnny Cribb and Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis will update community members about public safety, the county Greenbelt Program, parks and recreation, capital projects, roadways, the One-Cent Sales Tax Program and more. “Communication is a vital component in ensuring our county is moving forward in a positive direction,” Cribb said.

“We look forward to sharing the latest information relative to the county’s finances, public safety, roads and infrastructure, parks and other services provided. Likewise, we are anxious to hear from you so that we can best serve our residents and businesses. We look forward to meeting and sharing the many positive things taking place and discussing the opportunities and challenges of a growing county.

Following each meeting, county staff will be available to answer community members’ questions and solicit feedback on the topics discussed. “We look forward to interacting with our communities and sharing with them the many different ways that our agency and deputies are working around the clock to protect and serve them,” Lewis said. “We are eager to hear the public’s concerns, provide them valuable information and show them we’re here to support them.
