NORTH ANDOVER — Families turned out for the second annual Community Pumpkin Carving Event last weekend, one of the many Halloween events sponsored by the North Andover Historical Society through the end of the month. NAHS provided the pumpkins and the tools for society members and the public to carve and craft their own jack-o'-lanterns. Organizers also roasted the collected pumpkin seeds for families to enjoy during the event.
Baked treats from Diane's Cafe on The Common were also provided. Pumpkins were assigned via a random draw of the families in attendance. Families either took their pumpkins home or donated them to the NAHS for display outside of The Stevens Center on Massachusetts Avenue.
