Ex-Premier League forward and Wales manager Craig Bellamy (Picture: Getty)Craig Bellamy says a player tipped to leave Arsenal this summer is ‘incredible’.While analysing Arsenal’s recent 1-1 draw with Everton on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Bellamy somewhat surprisingly singled out Leandro Trossard for special praise.Trossard scored Arsenal’s opener at Goodison Park on Sunday before Iliman Ndiaye equalised to deny the visitors all three points and all but end their fading title hopes.

Belgium forward Trossard has endured a mixed season at the Emirates Stadium and Arsenal are believed to be keen to sign a new left winger this summer.Reports claim Arsenal are ‘open to offers’ for Trossard as they look to bring a new winger to the club, with Nico Williams a figure of substantial interest.Get personalised updates on Arsenal everydayWake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro’s Football Newsletter.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta (Picture: Getty)‘He can play out wide or in the pockets. What I really like about him if he can do it on his left or right foot, he takes shots early too.‘I’m hoping my team don’t have to come up against him in the summer but he’s fully on my radar.

He’s an outstanding player, there’s no two ways about it.’Trossard will hope to have an impact on Tuesday night when Arsenal face Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.The Champions League represents Arsenal’s final chance of lifting silverware this season, but standing in their way is the most successful team in the history of the competition.

Speaking ahead of the visit of Madrid, returning Arsenal star Bukayo Saka said: ‘It’s Madrid, you have to respect that and accept what they’ve done in the history, but tomorrow anything can happen.‘It would mean a lot to us [to win]. It’s the first time the club has been in back-to-back Champions League quarter finals for a while now, so tomorrow night we want to take the next step and try and get over the line.

‘The players are ready, we’re up for it. I honestly have no doubt that the fans tomorrow will be up for it as well and will create the most beautiful atmosphere the stadium has ever witnessed.’For more stories like this, check our sport page.
