Cox’s Bazar sadar OC withdrawn

Officer-in-charge of Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Faizul Azim Noman has been withdrawn one month and 28 days after his appointment.A notification, signed by Additional Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Chattogram Division Ahsan Habib Palash, was issued on Sunday (November 17).It said that OC Faizul Azim has been attached to the DIG's office in Chittagong until further instructions.Cox’s Bazar Police Superintendent Mohammad Rahmat Ullah said that he received an order to withdraw OC Faizul from the Sadar police station and he would be removed from the post immediately.OC Faizul joined the Sadar Model police station on September 19,

It said that OC Faizul Azim has been attached to the DIG's office in Chittagong until further instructions. Cox’s Bazar Police Superintendent Mohammad Rahmat Ullah said that he received an order to withdraw OC Faizul from the Sadar police station and he would be removed from the post immediately. OC Faizul joined the Sadar Model police station on September 19, following the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

However, no reason was mentioned for the withdrawal. Sources said that after his joining, several allegations surfaced against him, including accepting bribes, engaging in case trading, failing to arrest any of the accused in cases of attacks and murders during the movement. Faizul, however, could not be reached for comment.
